How Does Ginwen Wear Ensure Quality Control?

Ginwen Wear operates a four-stage quality control system that covers every production phase: incoming material inspection, in-process sewing inspection, final random inspection, and pre-shipment inspection. All bulk orders are inspected under the AQL 2.5 standard (Acceptable Quality Limit), and inspection reports are shared with clients before shipment release. This system has maintained an average defect rate below 1.5% across more than 2 million units produced.

Stage 1: Incoming Material Inspection (IQC)

Before any fabric, hardware, or trim enters the production floor, Ginwen's QC team inspects incoming materials against the approved specifications. Fabric rolls are checked for color consistency against the approved lab dip, weight per square meter, width consistency, and visible defects such as slubs, holes, or shading. Zippers, buttons, snaps, and labels are sampled and tested for function and appearance. Materials that fail inspection are quarantined and returned to the supplier.

Stage 2: In-Process Inspection (IPQC)

During production, quality inspectors walk the production line at regular intervals to check work at each sewing station. Critical checkpoints include seam strength and stitch density (typically 8 to 12 stitches per inch), alignment of pattern pieces, zipper installation alignment, pocket placement and reinforcement, and label positioning.

Stage 3: Final Random Inspection (FRI)

Once bulk production is complete, Ginwen's QC team performs a detailed final random inspection using the AQL 2.5 sampling method. Under AQL 2.5, for an order of 500 jackets, the inspector randomly samples 50 pieces. If 3 or fewer pieces have major defects, the lot passes. If 4 or more pieces have major defects, the entire lot is returned for 100% inspection and rework.

Stage 4: Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI)

Before containers are loaded, Ginwen offers optional third-party inspection through SGS, Bureau Veritas, or Intertek at the client's request. The third-party inspector conducts an independent AQL inspection and issues a report directly to the client.

Defect Classification

Ginwen categorizes defects into three classes: critical defects (safety issues ??zero tolerance), major defects (functional or appearance issues ??AQL 2.5), and minor defects (cosmetic issues ??AQL 4.0). Inspection reports clearly categorize each finding with photographic evidence.
